AVAILABILITY
Books are shipped from our studio in The Netherlands. We try to ship orders within a week after placing your. All orders are subject to the availability of the products. It is possible that products are displayed as available on the website but our stock count is incorrect.
In this case we will contact you and offer an alternative shipping date or alternative product, or we will reimburse you.

SHIPPING

Choice of courier, shipping mode and shipping charge are automatically assigned during the ordering process.
For every order you will receive an e-mail with Track & Trace information. Contact us if you would prefer an alternative shipping method.
We will help you track any packages that do not reach their destination, but we cannot be held responsible for any parcels that are held in customs or go missing during transport. Shipments that are returned to us by the courier will only see the books refunded, not the shipping cost.
Please note that we do not cover any (customs) taxes that might be charged when shipping internationally.


CANCELLATION & RETURNS

Please select your product(s) carefully. All sales are final, we only accept the return of damaged or incorrect items. 
In case you receive an incorrect or damaged product, please mail us within 7 days your name, address, order number and a photo of the damaged item and packaging.
Incorrect items need to be returned in mint condition; shrink-wrapped books need to remain shrink-wrapped.
We will provide you with return instructions.

PRICES AND PAYMENT

The prices of the books displayed on this website are including 9%, according to Dutch law. Payments are processed through Paypal.

My brother is a beacon. Reinoud has Down’s syndrome. When he was five years old, I arrived in his life: a world shaped differently, in which the wisdom of the body has not been lost and the spirit is not constricted by reason. His world is magnetic, it pulls and feels safe. There within, things can take on other forms: minuscule becomes magnanimous, and what is considered immense is scaled to minor. In his world everything is rooted, unconditioned and unconditional. He holds no judgements, no desires for more, he is not burdened by the compulsion of efficiency. In his world, sadness and joy can spill through into a single moment. And his existence is unquestioned, it just is.

What am I looking at? And what do I see? If anything characterises my images, it is these questions. I have doubts about what I see, I want to go beyond what we think we know. But I also know that the extraordinary dwells in the ordinary. It’s for this reason that I photograph my close surroundings, pausing with what I imagine to know. This could be my children, my brother, perhaps my dog, or the places I inhabit: my home or while away.
For me, photography is waiting, waiting for the unknown to emerge within the worlds I imagine to already know.*
